Katara Baskerville is a birth and postpartum doula, educator, advocate, entrepreneur, and community leader committed to improving the experience of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. She is a visionary, a leader and deeply committed to education, advocacy, wellness, and community engagement.

Katara is the CEO and Founder of All Sides of Birth LLC (ASOB), a birth, postpartum, and fertility doula company supporting families throughout their journey to parenthood. Through ASOB, she provides personalized, evidence-based education and compassionate support during pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and fertility journeys.

Holding both a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from Howard University, Katara combines her scientific expertise with holistic care to translate complex biological and reproductive processes into clear, empowering guidance. Trained by MaternityWise International, she centers her practice on informed consent, patient advocacy, and individualized care. She is a General Board Member and Co-Chair of Programming for the M.A.M.A Community Foundation.

Through her work, Katara brings together science, compassion, education, and advocacy to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their journey to parenthood. She is especially passionate about serving mothers and creating spaces where they feel valued, heard, and cared for.

As a fertility doula, birth doula and women's fitness professional my mission is to provide integrative fertility support to those hoping to conceive naturally and assisted, regardless of where you are in the process. I promise to regard your fertility journey with an empathetic heart and a non-judgemental ear. Holding space by listening, encouraging mind-body connection by using breath and bodywork, as well as informing via evidence-based research, is my goal in helping you navigate your fertility journey.

Laura Weppler, BSN, RN, is a fertility nurse and fertility doula who combines professional expertise with personal experience navigating her own fertility journey, including IVF. That lived experience deeply shapes how she supports others. Professionally, Laura has spent more than a decade working in and alongside fertility clinics, where she guided patients through IVF, IUI, donor cycles, medication protocols, and treatment coordination. In those settings, she saw how frequently patients were left feeling rushed, confused, or unsupported despite receiving excellent medical care. This gap between clinical treatment and real world life led her to co-found Rooted Fertility Co., a community driven, nurse led space for anyone navigating the fertility journey nobody planned. Today, Laura provides individualized fertility support that complements medical care by helping clients understand their cycles, labs, and treatment plans, prepare for appointments, and advocate for themselves with confidence. Her approach is compassionate, clear, and grounded in both clinical knowledge and lived experience. Laura does not replace medical providers or promise outcomes; instead, she serves as a steady guide through a complex and emotionally demanding process so clients feel informed, supported, and less alone.
